Design that is meant to be experienced in an instant is best recognized and has been around the longest. For over a hundred years, designers have settled on the type, form and image on posters, ads, packages, and other materials, as well as information visualizations and
graphics printed for newspapers and magazines. Motion graphics are also pre and manufactured, but which are intended to be known over a fixed period, such as the closing credits of a movie or online video meant to accompany a newspaper article.

The design of books and magazines is also a long history. Physical or digital, they are articles which are intended to enjoy the time, in which the player controls the speed and the sequence of the experiment. In the books, it's usually for fertilization, while in magazines, the design is a structure that the visual and written content that is not yet created expected. Some commercial websites or exhibition catalogs also fits into this category, as well as digital displays or physical museums that information does not appear changed. All have a solid content but the user or player determines their way through the material.

Many designers also produce systems that are intended to be experienced in the time, but are not limited to the manufacture of objects. Wayfinding, as a form of environmental graphics, refers to branding and signage applied everywhere and buildings. Although each character or symbol design in a public or private building, they are all part of a larger system in the building. The design of the system between all parties-is where the designer provides value. In the same way, while all the artifacts of a commercial or institutional brand as a business card, mark, logo or advertising are individual expressions of design, how they lived together and then the time is the design work. No part of it is made without taking account of the other, or without thinking how an audience will meet and develop a relationship with that brand.

The designers are also responsible for interactive design in which the content is fluid, sometimes changing from minute to minute, and interfaces that allow users to navigate through complex digital experiences. This work is differentiated by the addition of another element: the reaction to the viewer's actions. Editorial design for web and mobile is the most tangible example of content focused on the work in this area, including publishing sites, mobile applications and blogs. Some design relates to the presentation of the information, also known as the display data continuously. Other designers have been engaged in digital products, which digital services or platforms which are able to be put on the market. Product design for web and mobile is related to software design. Sometimes different designers working design of the on the  user (UI) interface, mainly which relate to individual provisions of the pages and the design of user experience (UX), or the overall user experience as they move through a Web site or application.

Door type design aspects of almost all of these things. Although the shape of a single letter a sense, a font, a mark is also composed of the relation between the characters to work together to create meaning. And like software, fonts are licensed and installed can be on computers individual.

Depending on the size of the context in which a designer works, can work comprise one, several or all of these matters in the course of a year. Large companies, organizations, teams or studios can lean in the direction of specialization, while the smaller studios and groups that are capable of separately, not as an expert may require multiple areas.
